This Recipe Makes ± 10-15 Pickled Onions


 

Onion Pickle is a nourishment comprising of onions cured in a solution of vinegar & salt, frequently with different additives & flavorings.

In the United Kingdom they are frequently eaten alongside fish & chips with french fries or as a component of a cultivator’s lunch.

Onion Pickle Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Peel the small pickling onions. Rinse & set aside.
  2. Pour the white spirit vinegar in a clean, sterilized glass jar.
  3. Thereafter, add in the sugar & the salt.
  4. Mix well until the sugar & salt grains have dissolved. If it hasn’t completely diminished, don’t worry, it will soak up into the onions overtime.
  5. Next, carefully add in the peeled & rinsed pickling onions to the vinegar mixture.
  6. Make sure that all the onions are coated in the vinegar mixture. Add more vinegar if necessary.
  7. Cover with a tight lid. Store in the cupboard in a cool place. Allow for the onions to pickle for up to a week. After a week has passed, the onions are ready to be eaten.
  8. Additionally, you can label the bottle. Just use an old store bought onion pickle label.
  9. Goes well with most curries, namely Butter Beans Curry, Yam Curry, . Also can be enjoyed with biryanis, such as Mince Biryani, Chicken Biryani & more.
