AIR FRIED CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS
This Recipe Makes 8 Drumsticks
We all love quick & easy meals, especially when its super delicious without all of the mess. That being said, here is my Air Fried Chicken Drumsticks recipe which I know for sure that you will enjoy!
I have opted to using my Instant Vortex Air Fryer Oven for this recipe, unfortunately I haven’t tried them in the basket air fryer (Instant Vortex Air Fryer) but I am sure they will turn out just as good.
These drumsticks are crispy on the outside & moist on the inside – with not a drop of oil used.
Air Fried Chicken Drumsticks:
- 8 chicken drumsticks
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon chicken spice
- ½ teaspoon garlic flakes or garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon chili powder or masala
- 1 teaspoon coriander (dhania) powder
- Woolworths Ghost Chilli Seasoning – as much or little as preferred
Method:
- Bring out the chicken drumsticks.
- Remove them from the packaging & rinse them well.
- Working with one drumstick at a time, use a sharp knife & cut alongside the bone.
- Don’t go all the way through, just cut either side of the bone so that the chicken is a bit opened.
- This method is butterflying the drumsticks.
- Continue this process until all the drumsticks are butterflied.
- To a bowl, add in salt, chicken spice, garlic flakes or garlic powder, dried parsley, chili powder or masala, coriander (dhania) powder & Woolworths Ghost Chilli Seasoning.
- This is what the Ghost Chilli Seasoning looks like.
- Give the spices a mix.
- Generously sprinkle half of the spices over the chicken. There’s no need to rub it into the chicken.
- Flip the drumsticks over & sprinkle over the remaining spice.
- Place the seasoned drumsticks onto the air fryer tray (or into the air fryer basket).
- Pop the tray or basket into the air fryer. I am using my Instant Vortex Air Fryer Oven.
- Press the “Air Fry” button on the Instant Vortex Air Fryer Oven & adjust the “Time” to 00:20 (20 Minutes) & the “Temperature” to 180° Celsius. Press “Start”.
- Once done, remove the tray/basket from the air fryer.
- Turn the drumsticks over so that they are skin side up & pop it back into the air fryer. Keeping the “Temperature” at 180° Celsius whilst adjusting the “Time” to 00:10 (10 Minutes). Press “Start”.
- Once done, remove the tray/basket from the air fryer.
- Plate & garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
- Serve these Air Fried Chicken Drumsticks with your favourite dipping sauce & enjoy.
- These drumsticks are so flavourful & crispy.
- Once you bite into it, you will notice how moist & succulent the meat is.
