Buldak Dipping Sauce – Easy Spicy Korean-Style Dumpling Sauce
If you enjoy bold, spicy flavours with a creamy twist, this Buldak dipping sauce is one you’ll want to keep on repeat. Made using Samyang Buldak Carbonara Hot Chicken Sauce, this dip is rich, slightly sweet, savoury, and it’s the ultimate sauce for dumplings, gyoza, spring rolls, or even drizzling over rice bowls.
The carbonara version brings a smoother, creamier heat compared to the original Buldak sauce, making it especially good as a dipping sauce. It comes together in minutes with simple pantry ingredients and instantly adds flavour to anything you serve it with.
From my kitchen to yours, this is one of those quick extras that makes homemade dumplings feel even more special.

Buldak Dipping Sauce Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons Samyang Buldak Carbonara Hot Chicken Sauce
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or white vinegar / lemon juice)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cold water – to thin it out
- 1 teaspoon honey (balances the heat)
- 1 teaspoon coriander (dhania) or spring onion, finely chopped
Method:
-
- I’m using Samyang Buldak Carbonara Hot Chicken Sauce.

- Add all the ingredients to a bowl.

- Mix together until combined and let the sauce rest for 5 minutes so the flavours blend before serving.

- Pour the Buldak sauce into your dipping bowl and serve alongside your dumplings.

- I’ve served it with my chicken dumplings (gyoza) for that perfect spicy, flavour-packed bite every time.

- This sauce also pairs beautifully with other dumplings or gyoza, spring rolls or wontons, fried chicken bites, crispy tofu, drizzled over rice bowls or noodles. It’s also great as a quick spicy dressing for wraps or sandwiches.

- Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Stir before using, as the ingredients may settle slightly.
